Troubleshooting MediBuddy Issues
If you're experiencing issues with MediBuddy, try these troubleshooting steps:
Basic Steps
- 1. Check your internet connection. MediBuddy requires a stable connection for video consultations and report downloads. Run a quick speed test or try loading a different website to confirm your network is active.
- 2. Force-close and restart the MediBuddy app. On mobile, swipe it away from recent apps and reopen it. On desktop, fully close the browser tab and launch a fresh one. This clears temporary session hangs.
- 3. Clear cached data and cookies. In the MediBuddy app, go to Settings > Storage & Cache and tap “Clear Cache.” In a browser, clear site data for medibuddy.in. Stale cache often blocks login and booking screens.
- 4. Update the app or browser. Ensure you are on the latest version of MediBuddy (iOS/Android) or use an up-to-date browser like Chrome or Safari. Outdated versions frequently cause payment and video call failures.
- 5. Try a different network. Switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data (or vice versa). Some hospital-linked portals are sensitive to restricted corporate or public Wi-Fi firewalls.
Intermediate Steps
- 1. Verify your location and GPS permissions. MediBuddy uses your location to show nearby in-network hospitals and availability of home sample collection. If location access is denied, the booking list may appear blank. Re-enable it in your device settings.
- 2. Check for scheduled maintenance on specific services. Sometimes, tele-consultations (video) go down separately from lab orders. If only video calls fail, wait 15–20 minutes and retry – a common temporary glitch on their gateway.
- 3. Manually change your DNS. On some ISPs, MediBuddy’s API endpoints resolve slowly. Set your DNS to Google (8.8.8.8) or Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) to bypass regional routing issues, especially if symptom checker or doctor search is hanging.
- 4. Disable VPN or ad-blockers. MediBuddy uses strict security tokens. VPNs or aggressive ad-blockers can interrupt the payment gateway and OTP verification flow. Add medibuddy.in to your ad-blocker’s whitelist, or temporarily disable the VPN during checks.
If the steps above don’t resolve the problem, the service may be having a wider interruption. Please click the “Report Outage” button on this Is It Down Bro? status page to let us know – so we can track it and confirm if it’s down for everyone.

Status Methodology
Outage Detection: We check website availability using network scanners every minute. If a response fails, we perform automated retries.
Community Reporting: Spikes in user reports are analyzed via standard deviations (Z-score). Z-scores above 2.0 indicate a high likelihood of a localized or major outage.
Geolocating: Crowdsourced feedback tracks country origins using public IP-API geo databases to map the scope of outages.
